Are you concerned with the rise of inequitable acquisitions of land in Africa and how they are displacing farmers and pastoralists from their land, food and livelihoods?

Canadian politicians can be largely influential in addressing these types of injustices. It is their job to represent you on the international stage at fora such as the UN, G7 and G20 where issues like “land grabs” are discussed and deliberated. Therefore, it is important to make your voice heard.

An effective way of doing so is by emailing your MP. Persuade them to support CELADA’s aims by explaining why you believe Canada should take a leading role in challenging inequitable land acquisitions in Africa.
