Behind the Brands at Coke, Pepsi and ABF: Does your sugar lead to land grabs?
On October 2nd, 2013 Oxfam International published apress release which highlighted the release of their new report, Sugar Rush: Land rights and the supply chains of the biggest food and beverage companies. This publication speaks to the “bitter secret in the sugar supply chains” as it depicts a continuously growing global demand for sugar and the overwhelming rush for land to grow it as main drivers of land grabs worldwide.
